BATHURST 6 HOUR CONFIRMED FOR 2016 BATHURST MOTOR FESTIVAL

A SIX HOUR endurance race for Production Cars is set to be the highlight of the 2016 Bathurst Motor Festival.

To be promoted and organised by Yeehah Events, the promoters of the annual Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, the race will be staged for cars built to CAMS 3E Production Car regulations.

Organisers will also consult the similar Australian Manufacturers Championship rulebook prior to finalising the unique eligibility and technical regulations for the race with CAMS later this year.

MOTOR FESTIVAL CONCLUDES IN THE BATHURST SUN

THE SUN SHONE on the closing day of the 2015 Bathurst Motor Festival at Mount Panorama today with competitors, officials and fans alike relishing dry conditions after two days of soaking rain.

In typical Bathurst style, however, the drama didn’t abate with the rain with plenty of close racing and on-track incidents filtered throughout the day.

Rod Salmon returned serve on rival Neale Muston by winning the second CUE Sports Car enduro today in a race that featured two lengthy Safety Car periods.

SUNDAY: HAPPY EASTER

EASTER SUNDAY has dawned bright and stunning in Bathurst.

After two days of quite torrential rain, it looks as though competitors might well get some dry running - and fans some blue skies - for the final day of the 2015 Bathurst Motor Festival.

There's another packed program on track today with the final races for each category to be staged today.
