Airport and Flights

Q. Does Bathurst have an Airport?

A. Bathurst Airport is approximately a fifteen minute drive from Mount Panorama and Rex flights arrive and depart from Sydney, and elsewhere daily – visit www.rex.com.au

Q. What is Accreditation?

A. Accreditation is ticketing provided to personnel required to work/service the Event distinct from ticketing which is provided to paying public and sponsors. The Accreditation Centre is located at Main Gate behind Harris Park adjacent to the Public Car Park off Mt Panorama Avenue.  This is where people can collect their accreditation. The hours of operation are:

Wednesday 27 March to Thursday 28 March 9.00am – 5.00pm
Friday 29 March to Saturday 30 March 6.00am – 6.00pm
Sunday 31 March 6.00am – Midday

Amenities

Q. What amenities are available at the Circuit?

A. Male, female and disabled toilets are available within the Circuit.

Accommodation

Q. What are the accommodation options in Bathurst?

A. Bathurst has a range of accommodation options including home hosting during the Event. Please contact the Bathurst Visitors Centre for more information on 1800 681 000 and/or Designer Events on 0407 489 634 or 0438 316 150 who have an extensive database of accommodation.

Buses

Q. What public transport is available at the Circuit?

A. Buses will run from the bottom of the Circuit to Top of Mountain during daylight hours and into town both day and night. Timetables are included in the official event program available for purchase at the Event.

Big Screens

Q. Are there Big Screens?

A. No as there are no television cameras at the Event

Campgrounds

Q. Are Campgrounds operating at the Event?

A. Go to the Event Info page.

Corporate Hospitality

Q. Are there corporate hospitality offerings at the Event?

A. No.

Catering

Q. What catering options are there?

A. A range of public catering options will be available, located in the Main Paddock Area and Harris Park.

Disabled Access

Q. What access, parking and seating is available for disabled patrons?

A. Disabled patrons can access the majority of the Circuit via hardstand. In order to access the inner Circuit (Paddock Area), vehicles displaying the disabled sticker, with ticketed occupants, will be permitted to enter the inner circuit and park in a dedicated Disabled Car Park behind the Pit Complex. For any disabled corporate clients, there is an elevator from the Paddock to each level of the Pit Complex. The Pit Complex is fitted with ramps enabling access from one end to the other.

Event Programs

Q. Are Event programs available for sale?

A. Event programs will not be sold in advance of the Event however will be available for sale during the Event at the Main Gate.

First Aid

Q. What first aid service is available?

A. St John’s Ambulance will be providing first aid over the Event. They will be located in the Main Paddock and Harris Park.

Gates

Q. What Gates are operational?

A. There is only one Gate where tickets are sold to the Public and this is located at the rear of Harris Park adjacent to the Car Park. All public will be required to enter though this Gate unless camping or disabled, whereby access is available through Mt Panorama Gate.

Hot Lap Program

Q. Are hot laps available for sale?

A. No as there is no hot lap program the Event.

How to get there

Q. How do you get to Bathurst?

A. Easily accessible from Sydney, Bathurst is approximately 3 hours by car from the Sydney CBD, 4.5 hours by train or less than an hour by plane.

Official Merchandise

Q. Will official event merchandise be available for sale?

A. Yes, from the Official Event merchandiser located in the Paddock.

Parking

Q. What parking is available?

A. Spectators can park free of charge in the Public Car park off Mt Panorama Av and then walk a short distance to the Main Gate.

Paddock

Q. What is the Paddock?

A. The main hardstand behind the Pit Complex where the Bathurst Motor Festival competitor transporters are located along with merchandisers.

Race Programme

Q. Where can I find the race program?

A. Go to the Event Info page – timings are subject to change without notice.

Radio Broadcast

Q. Is there a radio broadcast of the Event?

A. The Bathurst Motor Festival  will be broadcast live on 87.8mhZ.

Television

Q. Is the Bathurst Motor Festival being televised?

A.  No

Taxis

Q. What is the number for taxis?

A. Number for taxis is 131 008 with the taxi rank located on Mt Panorama Av adjacent to the Main Gate. Taxi’s can enter the Precinct before and after racing hours providing occupants of taxi have accreditation or tickets.

A. Bathurst in April has a mean minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius and a mean maximum temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
